Have you wondered if you can “snack” on your Ketogenics diet? And, honestly, you’re not sure if you can “survive” without an occasional snack throughout the day?
Well there’s good news! There are a whole lot of snacks that are keto-friendly. Lets look at some ketogenic snacks that are available on Amazon (though many are available elsewhere). But Amazon is safe, reliable, and CONVENIENT. (This site is NOT affiliated, sponsored, nor a part of Amazon.)
Keto Microwavable Pork Rinds
Lowry’s has these, and they are available in many places (not just Amazon) including Walmart and the Dollar Store. They are actually pork rinds that you microwave and they get crispy and thick – and are wonderful! They make a great alternative for popcorn for movie night – with less carbs and higher protein. They have less than one gram of carb per serving, but they’re also low in fat. The macro breakdown is one third of the bag is approximately 10 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat, and the 1 gram of carbs per serving. It does contain multi-deck stryn, so the keto police might not be too happy with this one. But if you want a snack that is crispy and you can just pop into your mouth, this might be the perfect solution.
Keto Beef Sticks
This is a big time favorite! These ones by Chomps are popular because they’re grass-fed, have simple ingredients like beef, salt, and seasoning, and they have no GMOs. Plus they’re gluten free, sugar free, and they are approximately 100 calories per stick (approximately 6 grams of fat, 0 carbs, 9 grams protein). You can get them in different sizes, and in different flavors. Though these are on the pricier side, they are seriously nice if you want a quick snack that fits well in the keto diet plan.
These are incredibly popular! They package for on the go and come in various flavors – from lemon rosemary chili, oregano chili garlic, and more. One pack has approximately 25 calories, 3 grams of fat, and less than 1 carb.
Yes, that’s not a typo. There’s such a thing as keto gummy bears and keto Swedish fish in regular or a sweet and sour variety, much like Sour Patch Kids. These have no sugar, alcohols, or artificial sweeteners. They are sweetened with stevia, and they have lots of fiber which comes from chicory root fiber and a prebiotic fiber. Net carbs are approximately 5 grams per bag, a tad high, but if you’re craving sweets these might work well.
Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies
Craving a soft and chewy cookie? Not so easy to find, but these Kito cookies offer a convenient way that you can have a chewy chocolate chip cookie which is gluten-free and sugar-free. There are no hidden sugars; the macro breakdown for one cookie is approximately 190 calories with 7 grams of protein, 3 grams of net carbs, and 16 grams of fat. When you’re looking for something at the end of the day, and you have a sweet tooth, and you’re starving this is a good option for you because it has all that wonderful fats keep you full through the rest of the night. It’s also a portion-controlled dessert so you just have one cookie and you’re good for the night.
